VIVIDI Camera is an innovative Edge AI sensor powered by Iterate – a Czech-based AI solution developer. We have designed an electronics enclosure that has to withstand certain environmental constraints, meet water resistance IP, and keep powerful processors cool. The chosen solution was a combination of a plastic front part and an aluminum backside designed to function as a heatsink. The aesthetics of the device were meant to support brand DNA and not be too obtrusive.

Rear aluminum side of enclosure is designed to function as heatsink, extracting the worm from processor. Esthetics of product were inspired by neural network triangles which form company brand identity.
Design for Small-Scale
Manufacturing
In the first batch of production, plastic parts were manufactured using silicone vacuum-casting technology, while aluminum parts were produced through sand casting combined with machining.
